Sessions are scheduled in advance based on mutual availability. Regular weekly time slots may be reserved for ongoing students.
Most sessions are 1 hour, but I can accommodate 1.5 - 2 hour sessions for high school kids, if that works better for the student.
Scheduling & Cancellation Policies
- Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice (text prefered) to cancel or reschedule.
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged 50%.
- No-shows may be charged the full session fee.
- Switching from an in-person appointment to an online appointment is permitted.
- Illnesses and genuine emergencies are handled flexibly.
- Late arrivals generally do not extend the scheduled end time.
- If I need to cancel, there is no charge and I will offer a makeup time when possible.
- Last-minute or intensive tutoring may be available when my schedule permits. Longer or multiple sessions can be arranged for students who need focused help before an exam, major assignment, or to catch up after falling behind.
- If we are on a regular schedule, I will send you an invoice for the coming month's sessions on the 1st of that month, with payment due within 5 days. Venmo or Paypal preferred.
Safety Policies
- A parent/guardian must provide current contact information and be reachable during tutoring sessions.
- For in-home tutoring, a parent/guardian or other responsible adult should be present in the home for students under age 14.
- In-home tutoring will take place in appropriate, open/common areas rather than bedrooms or other private spaces.
- Transportation of students is not included.
- If a student becomes ill or there is a safety concern, I will contact the parent/guardian promptly. I cannot administer medication or provide medical care.
- I reserve the right to end a session if the environment is unsafe or inappropriate.
- If you have a cat and we're meeting at your home, please let me know in advance so I can take my allergy medicine before the session.
- Online sessions will use Google Meet.
